HARRISONBURG – RMH and Bovis Lend Lease recently celebrated a full year of work—65,000 hours—without any lost-time injuries during the construction of the new RMH facility. This achievement means that no employees missed work time due to injuries in the past year.
Bovis Lend Lease, the construction manager for the project, has a strong commitment to ensuring workplace safety and requires a rigorous safety training program. Currently about 300 workers are on the site each day, but that number will rise to more than 700 at the height of the project.
Work on the new facility is on schedule for a target opening date of mid-2010.
